Kafue Bush Break is ideal for everyone who needs a breather, wants to unwind or simply wants to get away from the stress of being in a big city. If solo traveler, couple, family with kids or group of friends this is the right safari for you. This 3 nights / 4 days bush break takes you to the Chunga area in the central part of the vast Kafue National Park. It's only a 4 hours drive from Lusaka and you are in pristine wilderness. Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and even Wild Dogs can be seen here. Not to forget the variety of herbivores, like Puku, Elephants and Buffaloes. We make camp on the banks of the Kafue River. Our meals are prepared with fresh ingredients over the open fire. Just enjoy being in nature.

Itineraries
Day 1
Lusaka to Central Kafue National Park
Pick up from your accommodation in Lusaka, we can still stop at a shopping center so you can buy some alcoholic drinks before we leave Lusaka early in the morning to drive to Kafue National Park. Camping on the banks of the Kafue River at a nice shady campsite. Participants are requested to help with setting up tents and loading vehicle.

Day 2 - 3
Game drives in Central Kafue National Park
We will be staying at the central part of Kafue, Chunga region. We will spend the whole day to do game viewing in the park. Several small rivers cross this area. These leave a number of waterholes in the dry season for the animals to quench their thirst. Wild dogs, which roam large areas of the park, cheetah and lion are among the inhabitants here.

Day 4
Central Kafue National Park to Lusaka
After an early breakfast we will pack up and drive back to Lusaka. The Kafue Bush Break ends at Palmwood Lodge or any other place in Lusaka that suits you. Please talk to us about further travel arrangements.
